The Author proposes, while emphasizing the difficulty of reinterpreting an old excavation, a functional analysis of a Himerean house which has been excavated in 1972. Noting that at Himera there is not a typical house plan, he begins with the description of structures and materials from House VI 5 and proposes a sociological and economical interpretation of their domestic use.
